IT IS A HORSE TOOTH, probably the fossil zebra Equus scotti. Horse
teeth from the skull are long and square like these. The chewing surface
often has a "bow-tie" shape in the enamel folds. The root ends are usually
hollow as these are. Horses are often found with mammoth remains, especially
in central Texas.
