This isolated horn was found and restored by Joe Taylor in 1997. Taylor photographed and videotaped himself excavating it. Photos of it, as found and as restored, appear in his 1999 book, Fossil Facts & Fantasies.
This dry wash in Blanco Canyon has produced many specimens of blue bones.
